MARCH 22ND: WORLD WATER DAY
“The reduction of both water and energy consumption is today one of the objectives that the ceramics industry must seek with utmost determination in order to guarantee sustainable industrial development. Our company has been working in this direction for many years, putting water savings at the apex of our priorities and making it the main guideline of our work. In Italy, water is an asset that is often exploited without a second thought, but there are areas where the scarcity of this most precious asset is a very serious problem. In addition, in terms of energy consumption, the production of ceramic floor and wall tile using spray dried mixes, i.e., those obtained with the wet process, is equivalent to firing the tile two times. Our company philosophy emphasizes the validity, if not the necessity, to design and provide machinery and equipment for the production of ceramic floor and wall tile where the preparation of the mixes, their coloring, and finally decoration of the tile are carried out using dry processes.”
