BRAZILIAN CLIENTS IN GLADYMAR TO SEE THE MIGRATECH TECHNOLOGY BY LB

For the LB group, 2014 is going to become a year of confirmations and successes on the international markets. In effect, after the technical workshop organized in March in Rio Claro – dedicated to the presentation of the MIGRATECH technology for the dry grinding and micro granulation of the ceramic bodies – at the end of June the LB staff was again in Brazil to participate to the exhibition FORN&CER and to visit one of its most important historical clients in South America, Gladymar of Santa Cruz (Bolivia). Gladymar is the most important ceramic company in the country and belongs to the industrial group Roda, leader in the building market in Bolivia. Today it’s the first company in the world to manufacture big size (up to 60×60 and 60×120 cm.) single-fired and porcelain tiles with dry technology. In Santa Cruz the LB delegation met the group’s president, Walter Roda, and the technical director of Gladymar, together with the top management of Ceramica Savane and Ceramica Incefra. Aim of the visit was the presentation of the MIGRATECH technology installed at the Gladymar plants. MIGRATECH is the innovative dry-grinding system with micro granulation of the ceramic body designed by LB. It is a technology able to grant a very high quality of the finished product and a drastic reduction of the energy costs, in addition to the possibility to produce according to the criteria inspired to the sustainable development. The MIGRATECH body presents a very good fluidity and an easy degassing during the pressing phase, granting a high and homogenous compression of the pressed product. This technology allowed to obtain unthinkable results ‘till now: dry-grinded porcelain tile (absorption < 0,1%) with sizes up to 60×120. It is just the case of Gladymar that, installing a MIGRATECH plant complete with press feeder DRYFEED, produces porcelain tile in red body of excellent quality. The product obtained thanks to the use of the LB technology presents important technical features that, effectively, mark a relevant evolution in the history of ceramics. During the visit, the Brazilian clients of LB have been able to touch with hands the efficiency and the extraordinary productivity of the 30 ton/h MIGRATECH plant. It is interesting to underline that the exit particle size had remains of 6-7% higher than 74 micron, fully comparable with an atomized product. These technical features have aroused the curiosity of the Brazilian companies, who have appreciated the advantage offered by MIGRATECH to be able to manage entering raw materials with high humidity, avoiding the pre-drying in cave, in addition to the possibility to reach higher productivity, quality and finesses and sizes unreachable with the traditional dry-grinding technology existing on the Brazilian territory.
